Default Are the bikes getting better or did everyone get tired of bitchin?

I started with my first Harley with an 07' Ultra. Seemed like all I ever read on here was bitchin bitchin bitchin. In 08' I didn't read hardly anything. With the 09's there hasn't been many problems to bitch about. What happened to all the bitchin about noise, heat, vibration fuel pumps rattles etc.? All I read now is how happy everyone is with their 09's. Does it always take the MOCO a few years to get stuff figured out or has evrybody just given up? T.

Love my 08 Ultra. If I had to bitch about anything it would be the stock seat. Other than that best ride I have ever had, hands down!

I actually think they are better. They certainly should be by now, and with what they cost, think about it. You can get a pretty nice car or truck for the cost of a new Ultra. They better be good.

Yup, I agree. It seems the 09's have the fewest issues and least complaints for about 5 or 6 years.

After 20,000 + miles, I still love my 07 EGC. It's a little hot, but so is my friend's 04 Ultra, and so is my 09 Super Glide when I get stuck in traffic. IMHO the complaining came from the few buyers that expected a drastically different Harley in 07, and what they got was the same bike with a little larger (and better) engine & a six speed that made a funny noise in 5th gear, which was curable with the addition of the IDS, which I added as soon as it was available. Harleys are Harleys, and the folks that ride them treat them like their family members....they love them, which gives them the right to complain about their bad habits from time to time.

After my share of new and used HD's I can honestly say that my 09 is by far the best HD I have owned to date. Light years ahead of my 04 CVO Screamin Eagle Electraglide. Ride quality, braking, how she handles, smoothness, again, light years ahead. Really had reservations about getting rid of a limited edition CVO bike but no regrets at all!

Enjoy

I forgot to include the issues with the tranny. Thanks for bringing that up. Funny, after most people figured out the noise was "normal" you don't hear much about it anymore. T.
