Default fairing brkts

Last Sunday out for a ride up to Collingwood, Ontario, the wife and I heard a loud crack. I thought that I had bottomed the forks out, but then realized at the next light that the fairing was dancing around. When I got home removed the fairing and both verticle brackets were broken. I'd even fixed one of them before with a bent "L" bracket and a rubber snubber under the bolt. I've ordered the new brackets from Zannottis, but they are on backorder. They dont know for how long either. I'll probably have to take them to work to weld them up so I can still ride. Wonder why they are backordered? (LOL)

I went thru 5 sets of those cheap things. HD finally came out with an new one last spring. Havn't had any problems yet with the new one. The dealer probably has them in stock because of the huge problem. If you get them from a dealer, make sure you tell them you want the new ones with a B number on the end of it. The old cheap ones had an A number, and some dealer may try to sell the old cheap ones, knowing they are no good, to get rid of them.

They are backordered because they are the new ones. We have two sets on hand at our shop.

Those are the new horizontal ones for $9.95 each.

The new vertical ones are 58478-96B and 58479-96B for $46 each

Are the horizontal brackets the ones that fasten with one of the speaker screws? When I was replacing my stock speakers with the hog tunes the aluminum bracket broke right where the screw goes through it and then into the speaker.
