Been using simple green cut 50/50 for years. Cool engine, spray on wheels, white walls, and under bike. Do not let it dry and rinse off throughly. I keep it off the tins and chrome. It will take off polish
simple green is very mild yet effective. i use it straight up non diluted, spray it on dry, light scrub with brush, generous rinse. have used this on every motorcycle i have ever owned and never had any issues. it will oxidize raw aluminum if its left on there without rinsing, but wtf would you ever do that anyhow. it is water soluble, so it rinses off completely. if the grime is really bad, i use castrol super clean followed by simple green. super clean is a bit more aggressive, but wont harm paint unless its left on prolonged.
Just whatever you do... don't use this anywhere near your engine or bike:
It took the black paint right off my cylinders and heads and oxidized (turned all aluminum gray) in about 2 minutes. I had the cylinders and heads replaced but all the hardware, bolts, nuts etc on my 09 Ultra look like it was left outside for 10 years.
Sucks for me. Please do not make the same mistake. Right on the friggin bottle it says do not use on aluminum or painted surfaces.
