Default Hoppe Quadzilla 5566?

anyone have any experience with this variation of their detachable fairing? I like the "black box" technology, keeps the receiver portion tucked away inside teh fairing, while the faceplate that controls it is fully waterproof. Also no CD since everything is MP3 or Ipod these days anyway.

No pun inteded here, but motor work, maybe even going big bore, and now the fairing too, it is sort of sounding like you be want to look at a good deal to be had on a left over 09 SG, EG, or UC?? Bigger motor, tunes, and the fairing too.

yeah, you would think so, but a few thousand here and there seems alot less costly than 20K all at once Its probably going to be one or the other, certainly not both. I have a set of lowers that i want to paint, but dont' like the look of lowers with no fairing. Funny how it all seems to roll into one isn't it?
I do like not having a payment on my bike, so unless some dealer wants to just trade me straight up for a new one, i'll probably stick with what i have and tinker a little!

I'm with you HD, a little at a time as opposed to $20 k upfront and end up with a payment. No thanks on the payment. I like the look of the 5566 fairing myself, just a bit more cash than I wanted to spend. Good Luck.

oh trust me, its more cash than i want to spend to, i was just intrigued by having no chance of water issues with the "black box" that fairing uses. I've seen a few places online that has them at a discount, but still much more than i want to spend. I guess if i could sell my Road Tech radio to offset the cost it would help, but still a good chunk of change.

I hear ya on the money, I just keep telling my self it is only money, and I cant take it with me!! Some times it works too!!! We ride or I ride cuz I enjoy it. Plus, I do spend the money to make my SG different from what other people have too. Right now, it is very cool to have a sleeper motor under the tank!!

Looks nice, it would be cool to get them to mount a GPS in there as well, maybe a 660 or something...

I have seen these pop up on ebay from time to time as well....

I am no help to your request but I do have the Quadzilla Batwing Fairing on my VTX. I have been using it for 4 years now. All I can say is I have had no issues with it and it is very tough and well built. They have good support if needed but I doubt you will need it. I am sure the unit you are referring to is as good as the one I have. By the way I had a fall at 40 mph and the right side of the fairing took most of the lick. It cracked the fairing some but very slightly. That is tough!
They are costly but good quality.
