Question about disconnecting CA evap purge solenoid
I have a 09 RKC Ca edition with the CA-required evap charcoal canister and purge solenoid. But I decided to bypass it due to other issues, and I now have it plummed just like a non-CA bike. As of now, I have the solenoid and charcoal canister capped off with vacuum caps, although the purge solenoid is still plugged in. But I'd really like to completely remove those 2 items. The canister is simple enough to remove without issue, but the purge solenoid has wires going to it via a plug.
What I'm trying to find out, is if anyone knows for a certaintly weather or not the bike will throw DTC's if I disconnect the purge solenoid. I don't want to disconnect it, remove it, and then have codes pop up later, only to have to reinstall the purge solenoid.

for 49 state models the solenoid just isn;t there- and we have a cap on the vacuum port on the throttle body.
try unplugging the solenoid and let's see if the ecm is programmed to see feedback.
( check engine light, trouble codes- clear codes first so you don;t call up historic codes)
in many cases the ecm doesn;t get any feedback from actuators such as the solenoid.
