I bought a LRS 9" curved and love it. Replaced a Klock Werks that I didn't like at all. Love the LRS. I looked at the Windvest in Rapid City, while at Sturgis. It looked exactly like the LRS, well made, but twice as expensive.

 

Anyone notice that Long Ride Sheilds and Clearview Shields are both in the same place in Colorado? Maybe both are the same company with 2 different names. If so, I wonder why?

 

Well, let's add another to the mix....

I just replaced my stock 2012 FLHX with an 8" dark tint recurve from Freedom Shield. John at Freedom rocks on the customer service side... worked with me on saddle height, my height and inseam, offered up a couple sizes and I ordered.

Now the fun part. Their shields come with protective layer on both sides. You can mount her up and go ride (took her on a nice 80 mile scoot). If it isn't the right height, ship it back on your dime and they will send out say.... a 9" or 10". They want the rider happy.

Well, I had nothing to return as my buffeting is gone, wind is at my hairline now (which is probably a high hairline then most of yours) glasses don't move and loving my stereo a helluva lot more now.

When I peeled the film, took her for another 100 and absolutely no distortion, the finish work on the shield edge is flawless and she fits batwing perfectly. Freedom Shields also offers forum members a discount. http://freedomshields.net/
