I just bought my first Harley, an Ultra Limited. As a long time GoldWing Rider, I am used to having a center stand, and even put one on my Valkyrie.
Are there any disadvantages to putting a center stand on an Ultra? I don’t want to spend $300 dollars on something I wouldn’t like.
I do have a motorcycle jack, so I could live without a center stand.

I have one on my 07. I bought it off e-bay for $189.00 plus shipping. I think that was $20.00. Good deal being it is a Wheeldock E-Z up center stand. Keep bike in gear with jiffy stand down because, it will come off the center just as easy as it goes on.

 

You don't need it, the jiffy stand works just fine.

 

The only one I know anything about is the Wheeldock. Didn't lke the interference with my jack. Also the stand did touch down once on a sharp right turn into a driveway. Found that I was happier without it.

 

I have the Wheeldock EZ Up stand, it is great for cleaning and my jack works well with it on too. It has hit a few times in turns. I can not for the life of me get the bike on the stand while on the bike but it's simple from the side. I only use it for cleaning and maintenance, never for parking because as stated it rolls off too easy.

 

I had one on my 07 Ultra and it was no problem at all even the Pitbull lift worked well with it.I don't think I'll put one on the 09,I just didn't use it enough.

 

I have one it's for sale! Wheeldock model # CS-1-C still pretty new.

I didn't care for it as I have a MC jakc and never used the center stand. I think brand new it was 289.00. I'll take offers plus the shipping.

 

I have a Wheeldock center stand on my 07 Ultra, works great, the owner is a good guy to deal with.

 

I seen a company putting center stands on ultras at rapid city harley during stugis they look like they worked pretty good,but it still dont get the bike high enough to do any work on it so i dont understand what people are gaing for thier money!!!!!!!
