Question Inherrited problems

Anything else other than cam tensioners and squeaky brakes on the 05' Road King Custom I should be aware of??? TIA guys!

Some of the 05's had problems with valve guide seals. I haven't had any issues though.

+1 on the valve guide seals. I had bad valve guide seals on one cylinder. The first place to look if a 05 is using oil.

squeeky front brakes just starting, 9000 on an 50 RK Cust.

05 was a good year. Things began to change in 06 and then 07.... 08....09.....xxxx....xxxx

I only put 10k on it before having the heads done, so I never experienced any of the valve seal anomalies. As I recall, there was a production change to address the seals mid year (orange vs blue or black or something like that).

My 05 rocks. "For me", nothing since then has made be consider a change...

You might want to put Heim joints on the shifter rod. Easy, cheap fix to avoid having the rod come loose at one end or the other. Do a search, as there are lots of posts about it.
