Radio shack alarm siren install (2 sirens on 2 different bikes)
#31
I think it is the same as my Street Glide. If so it is on the left side as you set on the bike. Remove the side cover & you should see the plug towards the front of the bike, plugged into a dummy plug. There is a spot for the HD to clip right on. Still trying to find the correct plug to do a proper conection?
I did the mod today and it works great

Thanks for the write-up. I did mine a few weeks ago and used a couple of left over Deutsch pin terminals on the wire ends that fit snugly into the connector plug since I had no luck finding the mating plug or exact pins at the HD store. Mounted the siren on the front of the swingarm with VHB double-sided tape I had in the tool box. Works great.
It's such a simple project, I'll probably buy another siren to install to make the alarm louder.

2009 Classic
My 09 Classic didn't have the security system. I just bought one on ebay last night but I don't have the siren. Reading the service manual it looks like a simple plug and play for the security. Now I need to go to Radio Shack and get a siren. Will I be able to easily tell where to plug in the siren? And does the fob need to be mated with the module before I put it on? Will it start if I don't? I'm kinda new at this. Thanks

I've got a 2013 Road King.... same plug, colors, and everything, but got nothing??? Siren is loud as hell on a direct source. Did HD disable this plug or wire it differently after some year? Super bummed. Been dying to follow your fix before I leave on a road trip in a couple days....
UPDATE: I'm an idiot. The blade connector in one of the leads I used was offset and missed the female mating plug.. replugged and works fricking amazing!!!
Kudos to the poster for taking the time. And thanks to dwl25 for responding so quickly.
