Default How many miles on a set of spark plugs??

Just wondering how many miles you guys are getting out of a set of new spark plugs. A bud of mine had his 10,000 mi. service done on his 09 Ultra and they said he should change the plugs. They looked fine. Is this about right for a plug change? Thanks

Had my Ultra in for its 10K and that was part of the service, changing the plugs.

Plugs have to sparking millions of times before they typically get replaced. I usually replace them every 5,000 miles. Easy to do, and cheap insurance.

You are only talking $5 whats the big deal? I change mine every 5,000-8,000 miles reguardless what they look like. Seems to idle better and run better at lower RPM's with new plugs.

$5 and two minutes sounds about right. I did notice the rear plug was a little darker than the front but it ran great before and after I changed them. Its like oil, cheap insurance.
