Tranny was repaired on ESP warranty Left side mainshaft brg # 9231 & race # 34091-06 Don't know if this is going to become a common repair item every couple of years or not. It seems to me that having built trannies for as many years as they have, any bugs should have been worked out many yrs ago, except for the very occasional bad brg every so often.

The engine has had the clatter going on at 2100rpm since new (sounds like loose lifters in an old chevy 6 cyl). I just changed to Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 (been running Amsoil since new) and it has quieted it down quite a bit. Wish I had run this oil since new. Minor probs but I love riding this bike.
I have about 43K miles on my 07 EGC. No issues yet. Use Syn 3 in all holes, change engine at 5K and others at 10K. Mods include PC-V, Kerker slip-ons, K&N (the 3910 kit), Hogtunes amp and speakers (+ rear Ultra speaker pods), lower fairings, fairing wind deflectors, mid-frame heat shields, highway pegs, Freeway Blaster horn, engine area blue leds. Just installed an Elite 3 rear tire. Hope for many more trouble-free miles!!!

I have 4400 miles on my RK. I bought it used with 3157 miles, it had been lowered 1" and handles like a dream. I added Xied's and it got rid of 99% of the surging. I also have replaced the spoke wheels with HD alum wheels. I had to extend the passenger back rest to allow more room for my wife. I am waiting on comments and advice on another thread on the use of royle purple oil for my 5000 mile service. Love my HD!!!

Good luck with your new bike. You will certainly enjoy it. I was thinking of going to a new set of rims as well. How do you like those alumn wheels?
Well I was one of the guys complaining back in 07 and I still think the MotorCo did us wrong but after IDS and and a tuner installed I have been pretty happy with the bike 23k miles and counting.

I never have liked the spoke rims since I was a kid, broke too many of them and that will put you in the ditch! Yes, I love the rims, they look good and are a lot easier to clean!
Have only 11000 miles on my 07 Electraglide Classic. I bought the stage 1 103 kit when new which included the screaming eagle air filter. I put some opened up stock mufflers on it along with an oil cooler. I had the IDS installed which cured the primary clatter. After a few thousand miles the bike was pinging badly. I took it back to the dealer and they put two different stage 1 flashes in the computer until they cured the ping. I've also put the tallboy seat and the forward footboards on for comfort. Running Mobil 1 20-50 syn in the engine, Red Line in the trans and HD syn in the primary. Just put the stock mufflers back on. Guess I'm getting too old for the racket. No plans to trade it in the foreseeable future.
