school me on handle bars
Ok I am thinking that the bars on my 08 RKC are a bit low and maybe a bit forward.
I think if I rotate the bars back it would feel better but I think raising them a bit might be nice, just a few inches. So with that being said, can someone tell me what the stock bar demintions are? That way I can get an idea of what I am looking for. Second any suggestions? Thanks for your help, Ned |
I had the same problem. Rotating the stock bars didn't help much.
Suggestion: I picked up a set of Heritage bars and that solved my problem. You can find them for well under $100. They are a simple swap, no cables to change. |
very cool, Sounds like what I want. Not changing cables and such.
Thanks, I will check the heritage bars out. |
Also check out the '09-'10 Heritage bars - they are a different bend and may be more comfortable.

For me, stock Road King bars suck. I changed mine to the extended reach and very comfortable.

I just ordered a set for my RG. They have them in black and I got the internal wireing kit also. Should give you about 2" up and 2" back according to the guys who have done it.

Friend of mine has the Heritage bars on his Road King. Perfect set-up for him.

If you are going to go the the trouble of changing bars you might as well get something nicer than stock Heritage bars. those were the first things to go off the Harley goodies heritage. Check out Wild One and Carlini. They make some really nice stuff. The HG Heritage has beach bars that are narrow, so tall bars are not our thing, but there are literally thousands of options available without getting new cables and all.
