Default Detach Tour Pak Pics

After much searching and reading about removing the tour pak I bought the kit from Chicago HD and installed it myself. Not a bad job to do. It may be easier if you have an extra person to give you a hand.
Many thanks to all those who posted on this subject. I read about all of them.
Here are some pics of the bike with tour pak removed.

I thought it was more difficult then it needed to be but I got it done also. I think they have made it much nicer and easier with the new 09's and up.

The bike look very nice.

Enjoy

Nice pics. Did the same on my 08. Couldn't stand the look with the stock seat though, so went to a SG seat, which I think looks much better.

Nice looking job. I am getting ready to do the same on an 05 Ultra Classic.

I notice that the license plate is located above the rear taillight. Is that the license relocation mount that comes with the kit? I was under the impression that mounted below the taillight.

looks good, so what do you think of your bike like that?

i did the same thing to mine today.removed the pack and put the street glide seat on it. definitely not as comfortable and my drivers backrest will look tacky with the sg seat. hideous bracket will come off tomorrow because i didn't have a big torx. still need to buy a bracket for the license plate and a antenna relocation.

Yep, that's what came in the kit.

If I have to carry a bunch of stuff I will just snap it back on. Also any time the wife is with me I will have it back on.
The saddlebags are enough space for just me. The saddlebags, tour-pak, and a trailer (if I had one) are still not enough room for the wife.
