Default Anyone running a Trask Turbo?

Considering adding an intercooled trask to the SG, just wondering what other peoples experiences have been with this setup.

I saw them at Sturgis and it seems to be a very well engineered kit that does not add much width to the bike unlike the Procharger.

I creep here like a mo fo. I run a Trask on my V rod. I have about 15,000 miles on my bike with the turbo. Nick and everyone at his shop are top notch, only place I let touch my bike.

Looks like a nice setup focused on the drag strip. How is it for every day rides?

Turbo does not add to your insurance rates.

Unless they find out its on your bike....

When I origanally insured my Bourget, the insurance co sent a rep out to verify that the bike was in said condition. He had to submit photographs of the bike, wich showed the 2 nitrous tubes in the tank clearly. A week later my insurance went up about $900.

I had to expalin that the n20 has never been used and that it was for "show" only in order to get the additional premium removed.

First I have ever heard of such a thing.

Lots of folks modify cars and some even go so far as to get a car with a VIN representing a V6 to get lower interest rates then throw in V8's etc...

Your milage may vary.. it may have something to do with the value that it is insured for..

They would never find out that you had a turbo unless you had to file a claim.
