first look at 2010's yesterday- ehhhhhhh

Talking touring here- I.M.O. The single exhaust looks shitty- don't care if its got 3 hp more than my 09 set up, the traditional look (and isn't what these bikes are primarily about ?) is gone with the solo pipe. Loosing the tail light for the two turn/running lights to pull triple duty?? Are you kidding me??? For a custom bike based on a Dyna or Soft tail (Rocker C type) maybe but for a Tourer- get the kcuf outta here and gimme a tail light with an LED for my 18-20 grand. Anyone whose been rear ended (Yep been there) wants more lights and most of us after being slammed from behind ALWAYS keep the bike in gear and have an exit plan while scanning the rear view mirrors. The RK is priced well-- as Harley prices go-- and I believe the Classic and the Ultra do get a tail light but I couldn't get behind the bikes to see. The Roadglide with the short- aka non existant windshield- is nice and I've never had one but the single exhaust and no tail light would make me look for a used one. Plus that bike must be a windtunnel with the factory shield, easily changeable though. The catalog touts no perfromance changes-18 inch front tire if I recall if thats a performance chnage then i'm wrong- and still rides on the heels of last years upgrades. Like I said IMO ehhhhhhhhhhh....... makes used look more attractive to me. BTW I'm on an 09 EG Standard(which is gone for 2010-no big deal you just gotta pick from what they got if your going 2010 model) with a radio and a few adds and am fine where ever I go.

Didn't want to edit so I'm adding....... BTW I've had 3 FLHT's on the pre 09 frame and they rode better (a little softer) and after adding a rear stabilizer like trutrack or ridesstraight they were fine. Yep 09 rear tire looks better from behind, most would agree. I think its the tire size we should have been getting since early 2000 touring models, but nonetheless the 08 and down bikes are fine machines and parts are wayyyyy more affordable and used ones in abundance than the 09 specific parts too.

The 08' is a one of a kind bike, with the 6 gal tank, TBW and other improvements. Using the same frame for 19 years there are plenty of parts out there.

I think the 08 and 09 Road glides are going to be high demand considering from what I have read on this forum alot of people are unhappy with the wind buffering and new changes on the 10
