Default Anyone Replaced Their Ultra Classic Handlebars?

The handlebars on my '03 Ultra Classic seem to be about 1 to 2 inches to far forward for me. I find myself having to lean forward more than I would like.

Are there HD replacement handlebars that will work? I'm sure setbacks won't work with the fairing.

Has anyone changed their handlebars on an Ultra Classic?

I replaced mine with the touring handle bars from Harley, here's a pic, I think the bars that I had are the same as you got, at least that will give you a idea.

Ask again on Monday - have Wild 1 575's in the garage along with a few other key parts - unless it does not rain - then will be riding.... good rainy day project...

What is involved in changing the handlbars on a bike with a batwing fairing? I also would like to put on bars that come back a little more. I did it on my RK and it was not to difficult. I would now like to do this on my FLHX.

I could see that, esp if the cables are changed - however, my labor is a LOT cheaper than $75 an hour

I had the harleys bars and now the wild chubbys. The chubbys have the internal wiring for a real clean look. Get the manual and do it yourself. Plan on 8 hours if its your first time esp. if your doing the chubbys. Its a good experience and a money saver. Good luck!!
