ROUGH RUNNING
IM HAVEING TROUBLE WITH MY 06 ROAD KING. SHE RUNS ROUGH ON THE LOW END ( 25 TO 40 MPH) ALMOST LIKE IT'S MISSING. I ALSO AM HAVEING PROBLEMS WITH IT POPPING AND STALLING. THE WORTHLESS DEALER THAT I DEAL WITH SAYS THAT ITS THIS NEW EHINOL THAT IS IN OUR STATES FUEL NOW. THEY SAID TO TRY RACEING FUEL, WHAT KINDA S--- IS THAT. YEAH SO IM GOING TO PAY 9.00 A GALLON FOR MY FUEL AND EVENTUALLY KILL THE MOTOR (YEAH RIGHT). MAN, I DON'T KNOW WHERE THEY GET THESE SO CALLED CERT. TECHS. I KNOW THE BIKE HAS THE NEW INJECTORS. JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD ANY SIMILAR PROBLEMS.

What is the Ethanol level, e-10 (10% Ethanol) or e-85 (85% ethanol)?
My experience is that Ethanol enriched fuel burns hotter, the HDs already run hot because of the EPA regs, may need to get a tuner and enrichen or lean the fuel mix, not sure that would help, but if it is hot the "automatic screw up the engine beacuase it is hot feature" will kick in. This cause the engine to incrementaly mis and run wird until it cools down.
If it is an issue of low octane, which it sounds like the dealer thinks so, maybe just some octane boost.

Bounty hunter got it right. Had the same problem around 30 mph. Got some good advice from this site! Probley running lean. fuelmotousa is a great place to get your PC111, Jammie is great. Ordered it on a Wed. afrternoon, on my doorstep on Fri. Jammie took my setup and pre-programmed it. Justed plugged it in. Made a huge differance.Good luck

You need to find a new dealer. To suggest going to racing fuel is just ridiculous. You're dealer either does not have the expertise to deal with the problem, or he just can't be bothered. A PCIII or SERT with dyno tune will definately improve the engine performance, but you're engine should be running alot better than it is just in stock trim. I would go to a different dealer if I were you.
