Hers is what I got:
Comments :
Harley replaced my Front 407 on my 2009 FLHTCU to a new 408
Why Not the Rear ? My rear is severely cupped at 10,900 miles I run 40 /42 psi.

Vincent,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding your concerns with
your Dunlop D407 motorcycle tire. You have indicated that the irregular
wear pattern which you have experienced may be directly related to your
tire. Certainly, it is not common for a Dunlop Motorcycle Tire to wear in
this sort of manner under normal conditions. We suggest presenting the
tire to the location from which it was purchased for inspection. The
dealer will verify the condition of the tire and then can let you know if
the tire falls within Dunlop Limited Warranty guidelines. Should there be
any questions, please have the salesperson contact our Consumer Affairs
Dept. at 800-845-8378. Representatives are available weekdays 8:30 a.m. -
4:00 p.m. Eastern time.

you guys are lucky over there that h/d seem to be recognising that there is a problem with the dunlop d407f
the dealers in australia say that they havent received the bulletin and in fact when i emailed three of them the copy i downloaded from this forum they are telling me its just a US problem and australian tyres are probably a different compound
what a load of crap
i more than likely suspect we havent had the same numbers of complaints from disgruntled owners
i know that my tyre has scalloped real bad and that after 30 yrs of riding bikes this is the 1st time i have to replace the front tyre before the back

No letter yet. I have 12,200 miles on the tires (09 EGC) and have not noticed any cupping. I downloaded the service bulletin (SB) and will be contacting my dealership soon. I'm afraid they won't honor the SB for the front tire because as of right now it looks good.
Has anyone had their front tire replaced even if there was no evidence of cupping?
