I use the aluminum foil too. Worked great on my 03 because it went a little past the underneath of the mount location but they have changed the oil filter mount since then because I have a large flat wall that's even with the filter and my foil just has to bump up against it. Still makes a mess. But you wanted to know what the dealers use.......they use the detail guys.

I just did mine today. Made a trough out of the plastic cat litter jug. Worked great! Similar to the soda bottle trick, but I don't drink soda, so I used what I had.

Have Billet Cool that replaces part that oil filter threads into.

Probably does not do much to help with cooling - unknown - never did test.

But, moves oil filter to where can get to easy. Still use some catch device..very easy..no spills or drips.

thanks for the soda bottle tip.will try it when it's time.....for those that mentioned form fit tin foil, cardboard etc.those do not work on the 09's. plus I remove the toe shifter to make it easier
