Default SE 255 cams?? I click, Anyone?

I was told today that due to emissions, there is a difference between CVO 255 cams installed at the factory, and SE-255 cams bought over the counter? Can anyone confirm this either way, and if true, what are those differences? Thanks, RD

Aww you guys are KILLING me. I've been looking a various cams for three days now and just when I finally bid on a pair of CVO 255 take offs this pops up. Hopefully someone has an answer soon before I lose any more of my already scarce hair

George.

Now this is interesting, I just installed some pull-off 255's and hopefully there is no difference between pull-off's and over the counter. Inquiring minds want to know.

Talk about a monkey wrench, I am perplexed also about this because I was also thinking about 255's. First I heard of this, anyone?

Call Jamie at fuelMoto. You may want TW6-6 from him.

Saw his thread on the Woods cams and I have also thought about them. They are also high on my list, along with the 107" big bore.

Doubt it. The se-255 cam is EPA compliant. It's used in the street-legal stage II 103 kits.

I've heard just the opposite, that the cams are identical. Have you ever seen a different map for the CVO-255 cam?

I just had the SE255 put in last week at the dealer.

I have the box that the new cams came in. The part no. on the box is 25638-07 and it says fits 06 and later dyna models: 07 + later touring and softail models.

Don't know if this helps to solve this question but I just wanted to throw this in.

And oh yes, I really do like the low end and mid range torque that I gained with these!
