Don't do this
Man did I mess up today. I was putting a antena in
the fairing of my SG, got the fairing loose and let it slip. Fell on top of the fender, put two scratches and a dent in it. Guess I under estimated the weight of the thing with the headlight assymbley in, and didn't have a good grip. Talk about a sick feeling, I hate doing stupid stuff like that. |

RE: Don't do this
It's a sick feeling when accidents like that happen.
For that reason I place towels around, under, over the bike to help protect it when I'm wrenching. |
RE: Don't do this
amazing how many dents you find on EG fenders......sorry to hear about the dent, but at least she's broke in now...

Just think she is now christened...
Here is a tip for next time, I am too cheap to buy fender protectors so I went to my neighborhood Harbor Freight and purchased a bunch of their 3.99 packing quilts. They are great, slide in through the forks, cover the tank, etc. Best of all, they are cheap. |
RE: Don't do this
Where did you get the fender. I really like the way it looks.

RE: Don't do this
I would have shed a tear.....................actually I did for you!

RE: Don't do this
Sorry to hear about the scratches......it happens.....I got a couple on my 06 SG........oh well
BUT, I added the SE passing lamps;therefore,, when I installed my Hogtunes, the loose fairing just rested on the passing lights, and I never had to fully take it off.....YEA PASSING LAMPS i guess |
