Exhaust info wanted: To get dual's or 2n1

I have a 2010 Street glide (love it), I know I need a high flow air intake(using stock intake cover), stage 1 kit, and a fuel mangement system (fuel moto, powercommander, something of this type)
But the guestions is what is better dual's or 2n1? I'm looking for more power but not losing fuel milage, hopefully a little better(unless I hot rod it). Would like some better sound than stock. Would love to get rid of the heat issue on the right side, for the passenger's.

Thanks for your help with this and past post.

2:1 is best for performance and the Streetglide looks great with one.

Just make sure the muffler cans hang at different angles (like 90+% of them) so that when ya see it from the back, it looks.... uhhhh.... Unique...??...

2-1 for performance but lot of 2-1-2 headers act like 2-1 with the majority of exhaust running through the right side muffler. You probably won't notice much of a difference between the two if you are just doing a stage 1 setup. I personally don't think 2-1 exhaust is necessary with a motor less than 100ci but that's just me. It's your bike, you do whatever you want and you've got a lot of choices.

Duals look better on touring bikes to me!!
But 2 into 1 is better for performance!!

There are some nice 2-1's out there. Didn't your SG come with 2-1's? If so you could just put a "Nightstick" slip-on muffler on it.

I don't know why everyone is saying 2 into 1 is better for performance. I had the 2 into 1 on my 2010 SG and the throttle response was horrible. I now have true duals with widow slip ons and it is much better.

Harley's stock exhaust is garbage IMO, anything else would be an improvement.

My bike use to back fire with the stock exhaust and rush slip ons, I put on cobra’s speedsters xter longs not only do they sound great they made the bike run like mike Tyson on steroids no more popping when I decal. They look like duels but act like 2 in to 1 check out this link
