Which slip-ons?

I will take possession of my new 09 FLHT in about a week (getting shipped from Wisconsin) and the first thing to go will be the stock mufflers. Want to go with black slip-ons and black heat shields. Have been looking at either doing the Vance and Hines Monster Ovals ( http://www.vanceandhines.com/product...sterovals.html ), or Brouhard by Bub ( http://brouhardbybub.com ).

Has anyone had experience with both and can tell me a bit about them. I have listened to both online via youtube, but as you know that never really gives an accurate depiction. I am looking for a deep low rumble, loud enough to let people know I am there but won't give me a headache from riding. Plus I am putting a radio in the bike, so I want to be able to hear my tunes. My last bike (Yamaha RoadStar) had Bub JugHuggers and although they sounds incredible, after about 20 minutes my head started to throb.

Thanks for the help!

Look at Klock Werks WFB's. Nice rumble and as you asked for...loud enough to let you know they are there without giving you a headache...and yes...they come in black.

I just put Bub 7s on my Ultra and really like them. They come in black as well as chrome. Just as you prefer, nice deep rumble without giving you a headache when cruising. They will wake up the neighbors though if you really twist the throttle. I found that Phat Performance Parts in Calif. had the best prices on these. Shipped in six days also.

I recently installed V&H Monster Ovals on my 2010 FLHX. These are IMHO the best sounding mufflers out there. They are not exceptionally loud allowing the radio to be heard, but have a DEEP rumble (think big block V-8).

I just put some rhinehart slip-ons a new flhx that I got late in the year, quiet though the neighborhood, but good sound on the road.

Imho the best sounding slipons I've heard lately other than V&H were the Rush slipons with the 1 3/4 baffle which had a nice, deep, mellow sound.

+1 on the Rineharts.

I've got a set of Rinehart's on my RKC. I really like how they sound and look.

Bub 7's on my Ultra. Great deep sound, wish they were a little louder.
