Default Fork stops

Ok, I think I have those. Black rubber, must go on the fork tube above lower tree. Thanks

That's right. Easy peasy, though an odd way of stopping the steering on an umpteen pound bike!

I have to admit, I was looking for something a little more substantial. I guess K.I.S.S. Applies here. Thanks for the help. Couldn't find any thing in the repair book about it.

Which variety of book do you have? You'll find it often repeated around HDF that the best one is the genuine H-D manual, they are available way back to the Ark! There are also on-line parts websites which can be very helpful, like this one, but the parts book is also still available and has extra info.

Default Fork stops

It's an old Clymer book, covers several models. 1986 edition

I really do recommend getting the genuine factory one as well, as it will have info specific to your model and better quality info too. There will be many differences between the two, but at least you will have the factory base data to fall back on.
