Last night I drove a friend's Goldwing. Here are my impressions:

-Great handeling over all. Went trhu the highway groves pretty well

-Sterdy and very very solid ride.

-I did not feel the speed at 90. Seemed I was doing 60

-Excellent brakes and brake action. Better than the brakes in my 08 UC

-Lots of power.


So based on all of this above I would buy one, but I can't stand that sawing machine
on steroids sound. Too bad they sound like a toy because I really liked it. Also, it was not fun riding it at all.

I got back on my 08 UC and felt like a tractor. I do not understand why I like my HD so much. Maybe I like tractors?

 

Hopefully you've provided some weekend entertainment here. I'll be at work and will need the humor.

 

Like everything else in life, personal preference. I enjoy my 08 EGC too. Love the rumble and the feel.

Whats wrong with tractors?

 

ok,ok I knew I would get some abuse but it is fun pissing some of you off. I guess the point that I was trying to make in a comical way was that the GW is an awesome bike but still the HD, in spite of its technical inferiority, is still superior because we love our bikes. See, motorcycling is about feeling and emotion and the harley gives us those great sensations because the way it sounds,it looks and it handles. So I was in a way I am complementing Harley with my post. And whoever wants to ban me is a comunist... Capitalism= freedom of speech

 

I agree, the GW seems like a great riding bike, but wouldn't seem like a lot of fun to ride. Kinda like a 2 wheeled Camry convertible.

 

Move over UltraKla$$ic I want a seat too, OH this is going to be good!!!!!!
