Default DK Customs Tour Pack Relocator

Has anyone had experience with The DK TP relocator? Everyone talks about George Andersons TP relocator or the Kury one. I have searched and found no testimonials good or bad for the DK one. It's price is attractive. Does it work? This would be for a fixed mount on my 05 Ultra.

I have it on my 2010, Buddy of mine on here had it on his 2006. Its a quality product, I've had it on for about 11 months, no complaints!

or check out forum member "dawg" who has a nice $5 mod for a 3rd position.

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...-tour-pak.html

the stock tourpak has 2 positions, it is shipped to the dealer in the forward position.
dealers are supposed to move it to the rearward position on set-up.
but sometimes this step is missed, have a look under yours first

I read and researched this. It seems there are several different TP bottoms. Mine has only one position. Some have two and the newest using the method Dawg came up with has three. I was quite dissapointed to find mine had only the one location.

I just installed the DK Products kit.
The instructions could be clearer and could use a picture or two. Also you will have to drill 2 holes through the bottom of your TP.
Total install time = <1 hour.
It does seem to work fine. Be aware if you have the saddle bag guard, unless you lady has very long legs the inside of here knees may rub on it.

The DK Products people were very good to work with. They addressed any concerns I had with their relocator when I ordered it and wanted to return it. I didn't like the design, but that doesn't mean others wouldn't.

DK seems to be the only or one for the few left for older bikes. Funny how they do not show the product they are selling you.

Check the date of the threads you respond to. This one is 9 years old. Maybe DK no longer makes the part which is why they don't show it ???

I am aware of the date of the thread.
As I said, they are one of the few or only that makes them for the old frame TCs. They don't show a picture of what they are selling you. I am guessing because it is very simple. Either 2 rails or a plate. Which I don't begrudge them selling, it takes time and effort. Would like to see what I am buying.

Also sad, lack of support for what I guess is now an old bike. Though sign of the times.

I am starting to wonder what their return policy is . There is one option.

It's just a 13z11 3/4 plate and some bolts. Missing washers. There is one extra set of holes to move it. Well there is extra set of holes on template for you to drill .

Instructions suck. Especially if you have a detach kit.

Their new ones look like bars concave to fit mounting bar on bike. .

I doubt I will go to trouble of drilling hole. See if I can just pay to send it back

Looking at videos new trunks might be flat on bottom. And mount to a plate. Probably a lot better design.

Old ones just have U of what looks like half inch pipe. The U sits in a channel in bottom of tourpak
