i'm about 5'-7" (ok 5'-6 1/2) and i'm wondering what size KW would be best for me. I ride a 2010 SG with a Brawler Solo seat, it puts me down a little lower. I put an 8" LRS with the Flip on when i bought the bike in December cuz i figured it would help keep the cold Jersey winter air off my face, and it does. I look through the 8"..if i sit up really straight i look just over the top edge. I wanna get something lower to look over during the warmer months. You know honestly i've never ridden my bike with the stock shield, it think it's a 4"??
Anyway, any experience you guys can give me would be much appreciated.

Finally got out for a little ride tonight, the windshield works Great!!! No more buffeting, still get the air from under fairing, but it is a motorcycle! Didnt really notice any more wind/ear noise than before and my glasses stayed on. Much better than the regular 6" shield.

Interesting.

I ride a 10" Windvest on my Limited. It does a good job of getting the wind over me, and allows me to ride up to about 55 or so with no glasses (yes, I actually check stuff like that). The KW is interesting in that they claim increased stability, which is always a good thing. Hard to believe that a shield 1-1/2" shorter could do as well as the Windvest....I may have to try one.

I wanted to try one of these, but they were not out yet, so I just bought a cee baily version. I have been happy with that. Still, I've been very curious about the taller KW's shield. I appreciate the reviews folks!

I put the 8.5" on 2010 Ultra and I'd have to say that I am very dissapointed with it. I am 6'3" and I'm getting a lot of wind and buffeting. I'm considering going to the 10.5 or 11.5 KW but holding back for some good input on both of them. A friend of mine was also considering an 8.5" KW but after he rode mine he wasn't impressed either and he is about 5'8".

Well i got my 8.5 black in today and road for three hours. Speeds up to 55-60 it works great. After that, you start getting some buffeting. I switched helmets (one without visor worked best)and that helped some above 55mph. The wind does hit you on top of the helmet. I also noticed that the top of the shield vibrates when going down the road. I'm 5'11" with stock seat. I'm still not sure on the shield. It still looks a little tall to me.i'm curious if the 6.5 does the same thing. I will post with more updates on ride.if anyone has ridden with the 6.5 and 8.5 lets see your review.

Switched to the 6.5 KW from the 3.5 KW and it was better for me, but mama still gets a good shot! I am 5'9 with a 32" in seam. at $175 each, I am going to look else where, the KW just isnt working for us and I cant afford to keep testing them.

Here's the KW 8 1/2" on a 2010 SG. I chose the light tint, when I go in the garage it's dark and got to see the docking point I drive up on. Wasn't sure if the darker tint would let me see thru on slower speeds when you have to position your bike parking.
I'm 6' and find this size to be perfect for me. I hear the radio better and don't have to switch to gogglles over 60mph.
I will still use the 4" stock on short runs in town, but on the road this new KW works great.....worth the $........JMHO
