After seeing Puzzled's pics of these and the Biketronics gauges...I called Biketronics yesterday.
They're a couple weeks out of getting their website updated.
I think I'm going with the Biketronics for my '09 RG.
Pretty neat setup.

These are going to be totally custom.
They'll have some standard faces, or you can design your own.
You can have the needles done however you want, as well as the rings.
Guy I talked to said "ballpark" $900 bucks for a bagger set.

$900 for the Biketronic ones? I hope the Medallion ones I like are not $900. If so, I'll just stick with my brand new titanium from HD...they have nice white leds too.

Just a thought.
So, is a GPS illegal in CA?

Based on Medallion's other products I'm going to say they will be as much if not more than the Biketronics, that's a guess. I'll still check on them though.

Yeah, I'd still like to know how much they are.

That's what heard the last time I was in court. A guy was charged with having a video device on while driving. I think it may have been one of those radios that has a video screen on them. I really couldnt imagine that a GPS is illegal even though it is a video device (ya?) It's the same thing as in CA you cant mount your GPS to the windshield (eventhough everyone does) instead it can only be mounted on the dash.

It's also agains the law to ride with blue lights on any thing other than emergency vehcile..............but at least my gauges, stereo and LEDs all match. At 10,000 miles it hasn't become an issue yet and I ride with them all on, all the time. I've actually got a couple thumbs up by CHP while sitting at stop lights at night time.

But it only takes that one that's fresh out of the academy and going to cure the ills of the world......so I'll keep the stock gauges sitting on the shelf for awhile.

Default Medallion Gauges

Installed a bagger set and they look great. Perfect match to blue paint on Ultra. However, lost some functions, Security icon will only flash for 5 minutes then it cuts out. What good is that? Cruise on and cruise engaged icons do not work on gauges or with bike. Medallion has TERRIBLE tech support. One guy who is never at his desk and takes hours to call you back. The guy couldn't give me any answers about the cruise icons and told me it wasn't getting the messgae from the ECU. Stay away. Go with Biketronics or Dakota Digital. I made a mistake!
