The $180 figure is for the XiEDs PLUS the adapter cable required for the 2010 harness plugs.

Sans adapter, it's $129.

I was looking at going the FLIED route but then found out that the DOBECK TFI could be had for $150 if you are a vet. I have yet to install, but from what I read it is a better solution than the FLIED, yet still simple and plug & play. Give them a call.

Oh? OK. I forgot they changed. If you are going to go this route, talk to Steve Mullen who owns Nightrider. Ask him about the Vied's. I did like the adjustable feature as each bike is different as well as it's environment.

Have had good results with my XIED's. Really noticed the difference when I installed Big City Thunder Monster Baffles. Good enough til I can do a proper Stage 1.

XiEDs did what I wanted them to do for a budget price.
Runs cooler, better throttle response and a bit more power.
You can't go wrong if you want those results and don't want to go with a full fuel management system.
I'm going to change my cams to SE 255s and will get a PCV to go with it.
At that time I'll put my XiEDs up for sale.

I installed the IED's right after I bought the bike and they worked fine. Tried the X's but didn't like the way my bike sounded (fat?) so put the IED's back on. Just got my PCV from Jamie so will be installing that PDQ.

Been riding almost a year with XIED's. Cooled the bike down, which is what I was after. I lost 2-3 mpg, depending on the riding, but it's well worth it in the end.

Best bang for the buck. you can use them for a stage 1 upgrade just fine.
There is even a site on the net that tells how to build them for about 10 bucks, it just a voltage divider consiting of three resistors. All the harley stage one is going to get you is the capability to rev to 6200 rpm pretty much. At wide open throttle the harley fuel system is preset to about 12.8:1 AFR which is not perfect for every setup but you won't be running to lean with a STG 1. Save your money. If you want really want to go fast, buy a suzuki or kawasawki.

In another thread you said it was "preset to 13.0:1." What models are you referring to and where did you obtain this information?
