Harmon Kardon audio into ear phones

Is there an after market (or do it yourself) option for tapping into the Harmon Kardon audio and into an ear phones jack. My 08 Road Glide does not have the intercom console audio port and I'm not intersested in spending $255 dollars and then having to use the bulky H-D communications headset.

Great question and I've wondered the same thing many times. When I'm rolling on the interstate at 75MPH the stereo (even with the 150W Biketronics amp w/6.5" spkrs) is barely audible 'cept for a bunch of noise. It would be really nice to have my headphones in during those times...

I too have been looking for the ear phones, but have not found them........Anyone know where to get them?

Give Iron Cross Audio a call. They can wire a connector that will tap into the HKs headphone circuit. It will mute the speakers when you plug into it and allow the handlebar controls to control the headset audio.

I did this for a while. This is all I could find, but it worked.

I went to Radio Shack and found some speakers wires with male RCA plugs
(I piggy backed onto each speaker wire at the speakers with the bare wire ends)

I found a 3.5 headphone jack on ebay that also had male RCA plugs

I already had a double female RCA connector (but you can find them at Radio Shack also.

Plug it all together and its a head phone set up for ear buds for about $25

This one had a double sided tape on the bottom, but I couldn't find a plug small enough to keep water out of it.
I found one in black
about 9 bucks
