Default CB Alternatives, whats out there?

What alternatives are out there for CBs? I have an Ultra with a built in one, a buddy wants to get one so we can communicate if need be on the road. I thought I saw one that fits on the helmet, but I can't find it now.

Any ideas? What do you use.

Thanks

Just got a JM setup because the FLHX doesnt have one. Gotta say it is a very good unit. Another alternative would be to use a handheld unit and a mount or cradle to hold it onto the bars. I didnt go that route because I figured that I wouldnt hear it,

Also IMC makes headsets that work with the JM unit so it doesnt cost 150.00 for headsets.

The JMCB2003. Couldnt pass up the deal . It was a take off I got for a bill. Only had to add a headset and antenna. Bought one headset from IMC and now will get a second and the passenger harness and headset for the wife.

Actually, several people in my mc do quite often. It also saved a bunch of headache for qa friend when he broke down out of cell range in Arizona.

My wife has a J&M 2003 on her Heritage to communicate with me on my Ultra.
I am working on a better antenna set up however. For the most part it works good.

When you ride with people that have CBs (Harleys and Goldwings mostly) I find they come in handy. Even if it is for "Hey, I need to stop for a break." or like happened to me riding in a group....My shifter broke and I radioed to a guy in the back what was wrong. Nobody else knew why I was leaving the road....but the guy in the back kept the group together because he knew what was going on.
CB can also be handy on poker run type rides.
If you have twenty people trying to make it through and intersection.....if someone towards the rear has a CB also.....they can radio to the lead and let them know when
the group is clear of the intersection.....or if the group has split up due to a red light, etc.
Some truckers still use CB also....and you may hear traffic updates now and again, nothing really useful normally.
