Default Clutch Cable

Guys,

I am having some clutch cable issues. It is very sticky when at full throw. I have lubricated it in the past but this time I cannot get it to be smooth.
I have tried all the different types of lubricants suggested here on the site ( Inox, dryslide and harley lube), however I think I will just swap the cable.

I have 12: PY monkey bars, and I don't know what length cable I received back in 2013.
-- What length and brand to get
+6, +8, +10 ?
Magnum or Barmnett?

Just want to be safe and get it working smoothly again.

Wink

I have stock bars, but changed to a Diamondback, which is just wonderful! To find the length of your current cable simply tape a piece of string along it, in convenient places, then remove and measure! When buying a new cable make sure you have easy curves, not tight cramped ones.

Smile Cramped cable was the problem for me

Great tip. Went out to check the alignment of my cable after reading your comment/reply to the Thread question because I was experiencing a sticky cable also.

Cut the tie-wraps off to let the cable hang as free as possible, then operated the clutch and sure enough - the clutch was a smooth as silk. Very noticeable difference. The previous alignment had a bend the cable did not like. Re-positioned the cable and tied it off at different point.
