My bike does not have cruise control so I do not know what effect that would have. Speedo is off about 4 to 6 mph depending on speed, but that doesn't bother me. 6th speed light still works. Did not have to replace belt but adjusters are right at the limit. Next adjustment might have to go to a one tooth shorter belt.

 

Thanks. I need to go back and re-read about all the different options and figure out what I want to do. I like the idea of changing wheel sprocket and leaving the rest of it alone. It wouldn't hurt the gear ratio for the way I ride to do both.
