Default Windshield bag - T Bag?

G'day,

I'd like to fit a windshield bag and have seen the ads for the new T-Bag for the 2010 RKC that looks like it slips down the sides of the headlight nacelle? It isn't available in any of the local (Australian) shops so I would need to buy one online.

My only concern is that over time the way it is fitted might result in wear marks on the chrome - has anyone already fitted this bag and if so, what are your thoughts on any rubbing issues (and general usefulness).

cheers,

I saw one in person the other day, the thing is freakin HUGE. I thought it was ugly but others may disagree. I'm frequently reminded, both here and at home, that I'm usually wrong!

I have been thinking about one of those too but couldnt seem to find more than one picture. I would like to see the inside and how it mounts.

I don't have one but I did take a close look at one last Sunday. It looked pretty good to me, but it is definitely large. I couldn't tell if it would rub on the nacelle, but the mounting is definitely secure. It has accomodations to bolt up to both the horizontal windshield strip and the vertical quick release uprights. In addition to the bolt mounts, it also comes with velcro for all three windshield mount strips. I liked the design of the top closure also. Instead of the usual velcro or quarter turn fasteners, it uses a full zipper. I don't know if it is supposed to be waterproof (kinda doubt it), but it looks like it would keep the rain out better than most. If I was in the market for a large windshield bag, it would be at the top of my short list.

I got one a couple weeks ago. I don't see any issues with it rubbing the chrome. I love it. I don't have to open my saddlebags every time I need something. Here's what I can get in mine...wallet,cell phone, sunscreen, light gloves, bandana, bottle of water, baseball cap, tire guage, and probably a few other things I forgot. At first it does look big in front of you, but after you get used to it, I don't notice it anymore. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reviews guys, I will be using it to store pretty much the same items as 08rking so it sounds ideal. I had also been toying with fitting an Ipod amplifier and speakers to a bag so maybe I can do this in one half and still have storage for the extras?

Is this the one?

I have one on order because it may be a good fit with one of my fairings. After I do some measuring and get some pics I'd be willing to sell it to ya at a good price if you can't find it locally.

I have one on my 02 RKC Love it. The zipper is a pain in the ***. But that may be due to the Heritage bars I have on.
It will hold 2 pair gloves 2 cell phones smokes water bottle and plenty of room to spare.
