Some of you may remember the sweet black 08 Ultra I used to have. It was a great bike and we ran a lot of miles together. But as you all know sometimes the new bike bug reaches a fever pitch.

I just had to have a tricked out Street Glide like all the cool kids. So I traded the Ultra in on a new 09 Glide. Now don't get me wrong , I love the Street Glide......Just missed a lot of the things I had with the Ultra.

Things like all the extra storage and wind protection. So now I have a chopped tour pack and lower fairings inbound. Building an Ultra one piece at a time.

Sometimes I think I really need to have my head examined.

 

You'll get the best of both worlds. I added a tour pack with 4-pt quick detach hardware for when the wife wants to ride with me. In less than 10 minutes, I can go from FLTR to the FLTRU they should have released this year!

 

That's kinda what I'm hoping. It will give me more options with the quick detach docking on the tour pack and lowers.

 

I was well on my way doing the same thing to my '07 Road KIng Classic just before I bought my '09 Ultra Classic. Good luck on your porject. I'm sure you will enjoy the end results.
