Thinking about Jet Hot coating? Think twice.
#51
I just recently sent my 09 headpipe and crossunder pipe to jet hot for their black coating. Well I got the headpipe back and they lost my crossunder pipe! Wtf! Luckily I was able to get a take off at the dealer for $25 bucks. So I sent it to them, they said the would not charge me shipping to send it back. I recieced it back a week later and it was coated silver!!! Not black. Grrr! So once again I called them and shipped it to them again and this time it came back right. Had I not been told about the extreme heat benefits from my buddy that runs a unlimited tractor in tractor pulls I would have really been pissed about my whole experience. I have yet to install the pipe as I am waiting for break in miles, so I personally cannot comment on the heat improvement as of yet.

I was thinking about it and found this post.
The pictures look okay, I'm not sure what it looked like before and can't see through heat shields but isn't the color consistent? You seemed to state that the discoloration is all the way down the pipe. If that's the case then I'd say the heat did not change the color. If you want a chrome finish then why not go with chrome coating?
Still considering coating my Road King pipes.
