Pulled into a parking lot yesterday for some adult refreshments and when I came out to leave a plastic bag blowing around the parking lot landed on my hot exhaust pipes: It's almost like the plastic has been welded on the pipes. Any ideas how to remove the F&*%$# plastic? Thanks....

 

Melted my Frogg Toggs to the pipe once.
Came right off using a razor blade after it has cooled down.

Easy Off cold oven cleaner works pretty well. Make sure your pipes are cold, spray on, leave over night or about 6-8 hrs. In the morning wipe off the plastic. I have used it for rain suit and boot soles issues. Good Luck, Jim

 

Tried the razor. No luck. The oven-off makes sense. Will give that a try. Thanks!! Ride safe out there....

 

I've tried everything, from a penny to oven cleaner. Nothing is easy.
One thing for sure - if you use oven cleaner, DO NOT get it on anything else!
It is extremely corrosive, especially to aluminum......
Now I avoid flying plastic on the road like it's a rabbid dog. Other drivers must think I'm nuts!

 

And make sure the oven cleaner doesn't get on anything except the pipe.

Be very careful not to get any on your paint, it will take that off too.

 

So none of you guys have tried Road Rub? I don't work for them or anything, I keep it in my saddlebag and it's works.
