Default Does your Harley have a tick?

OK, so I have done some looking around and I haven't really found a true answer to my question...

09 Ultra, SE Street Performance muff's and SE Ventilator intake...

I hear this ticking/clicking sound... not a pinging or knocking sound. The tick/click is there during acceleration, but not as noticeable during deceleration. The heavier I get on the throttle, the louder the click is... matches the RPMs, the more RPM, the faster the tick. I do not hear it during idle though.

I have read it could be a number of things... but the ones that are somewhat close to my situation is rocker noise... common thing I guess.

Am I hearing things? Am I chasing a ghost?

My 2010 FLHTK has that sound it sounds like a lifter noise like on my old Chevy truck.

Every Twin-Cam Harley I've owned has had this same 'tick'. I consider it normal.

only if it's a boy bike....oh, wait, "tick"

my top end seems to tick sometimes, but if you use a different oil...I use Delvac super 1300, it made it much more quiet.

That seems to be the consensus... I also read something about the oil too, but that was only one post. I happen to use HD Syn3. OK, so I am not losing my mind.

Mine has a tick sound that comes from the SE heavy breather. The harder I accelerate the louder and more frequent it gets.
