Anyone using Avon grips?I like the looks of them.I want something that won,t
turn my hands black & sticky after they get some wear on them,like my H-D grips
do. I don't mind the dirty hands,I can't stand the sticky hands.I am leaning towards
the Avon custom contour grips.

 

I just put these grips on whith my PYO bars and love them. Granted i wear gloves 90% of the time but since having them on everybody that has touched them has wanted to get them on their bike. They have enough grip to keep your gloves on them however are nice enough without gloves to ride comfortably.


No black or sticky hands for me at this point. Hope that helps

I put these on mine as well, only have about 400 gloved miles on them put they feel good and have had a lot of compliments and interest wanting to know what brand they were. I know that at least one of the parts guys at the local HD shop is now running them.

 

I installed the custom contour grips on my 09 SG last fall for the exact same reason you did I hated how the HD grips got sticky when it was warm out. I have to say one of the best and cheap mods I have done on my SG. I love the grips, easy install and I get a lot of compliments on them and they feel great without gloves on. You can also replace the black piece in the future if needed as it is made out of renthal not rubber so it does not get sticky. I can PM you a picture if wanted or post later when I get home. Go for it great grips at a good price.

 

Im run'n Avon's, i ride w/gloves, they feel good without though. always get'n asked where I got them and makes them...

 

I've been running with the chrome Air cushions for about 2,500 miles. just put the black ones (new for '10) on yesterday..

I Love them!

 

I have them on two bikes i do ride with gloves. i have the ones that look like PM"s

 

Just installed them myself. I hope the black hand days are over
