King tour pack w/ top luggage rack bolts
 

Hey all-

I have a king tour pack and would like to put my full face helmet in it. My buddy last year put his fulll face in his tour pack and the bolts from the luggage rack on top of the pack tore the top of his helmet up.
Is that a common thing or is there something I can get other than tape to put on the bolt heads to keep them from digging into my helmet?

I keep an old towel in there when I'm using the full face (which isn't often). I throw that over the top and it works for me. :icon_toast:

I put one of these inside the lid that covers the bolts with about a half inch thick pad

I did have to add more velcro strips that I bought at a local fabric/craft store

I think HD sells one in basic black for about $50 also

How about using some pan head screws or those little rubber bumpers you put on cabinet doors to stop the slamming?

Yup...have one of them too.. they are great!! look cool too!!!
