Need opinions on value of a bike
I am looking to add a 2008 black Street glide to my garage. I am trying to figure out what i should be paying. i found a nice one with 4200 miles, Stage One, V&H pipes with ABS here in MN. What would be a fair price to purchase this bike? The bike is perfect..The guys is asking for me to make an offer.

Wwell he probably paid around 20g for it off the floor maybe 21500 at the most depending on options. Then the taxes added on. If it's paid for and he has the title he is more likely to take less, if he's still paying on it he will want more. I think 15000 would be a good start to get to his lowest price if he doesn't take it. Also depending on how much money you want to spend there are a lot of 09's and 10's for sale used also you could probably get for the same price.
Also check your local craigslist. see what they are asking for them on there. Mine has a 2008 Sg sunglo 3000 miles for 16200. http://charlotte.craigslist.org/mcy/1656688609.html
another 15500 black pearl http://charlotte.craigslist.org/mcy/1656688609.html

If someone asks me to "make me an offer", I'll offer them a box of rocks. Low ball the heck out of it. After all, he didn't say "make me a good offer", right?
I would offer the most bottom dollar steal I felt I could get away with and that's being out of range of the guy's fist.
If you are going to establish a bargaining point for the scooter, you might as well start on the low end.
Just trying to help out here. Let us know how it works out and if we should send you a "get well real soon" card in case you found out the guy had a bad temper.

Dude, this is NOT a popularity contest. If he is not a friend, don't be afraid to "Insult" him. The most he can do is say no.....
Then you start the negotiation process.
