Default Windshied- Look over or through? Brand Suggestions

Do you look over or through your windshield? Why?
I'm also looking to replace my windshield. Suggestions?

Look over - is proper (and the scenery looks much better).

But on an RK you may have some limitations with that. Buffeting on RK's in not uncommon.

For the last 1800 miles I looked through the stock 12" windshield. Then I changed to a 9" Memphis Shades. Love it. Still keeps the wind off and looks great.

Over. Hated looking through a dirty windshield on the stocker. Nose height is a good starting place.

If you are shopping for replacement Lexan, give Rifle a look. I just got a custom sized shield for my bike. Their Lexan is a good bit thicker and stiffer than the OEM shield.

There are two schools of thought look over and look through both have their merits. I choose look through because I once was hit in the face by a rock thrown up from a tire. I don't like full face helmets so now I have a look through windshield to protect me. The look over will not protect from rocks and such. However the look through isn't as good in the rain. I keep my windshield very clean and carry some windshield cleaner with me when I ride. I just ordered a Memphis shade, I've owned them before and had good luck at a good price but they're are many out there good luck!

'Sposed to look just over the top. Contoured shields should be right around chin level, the shape should deflect wind up over your head. Personally, I like a large shield between me and the bugs and pebbles and when it's raining I do tend to look through, but you sacrifice a good clear view of road conditions.

I'm still looking for a good contoured shield, maybe this one..
