Default Service Bulletins for 2009 Touring Bikes

This is what I have. If I have missed any, please add them.

M-1251 July 24, 2009
Calibration upgrade for 2009 Touring Models with ABS.
This upgrade makes your brakes less sensive to skidding and wheel hop when braking on bumpy roads or tar strips. I found it much appreciated. No charge.

M-1246 June 10, 2009
2009 Touring Steering Head Bearing Adjustment.
This is a revised procedure for adjusting steering head adjustment on 2009 Touring Bikes.

M-1243 2009 March 18, 2009
Touring Model Jiffy Stand Bracket Lean Angles.
If you have a very early production date (June or July) on your 09 Touring Bike you probably have the wrong Jiffy Stand on it. You will likely know since the bike will be harder to upright since it leans too far to the left. I found it very much appreciated. Calls for a new bracket. No charge.

M-1258A Nov 4, 2009
2009 Touring Models Front Tire Wear Inspection and Warranty Procedures.
The first 6 months of 2009 production got D407F front tires. Later they were changed to D408F front tires. If you have the D407F front tires you will likely have "noise", "vibration" and "ride quality" issues. Complain to the dealer using the aforementioned words and they will replace the front D407F with a new D408F front tire. No charge. This is not classified as a safety issue so no recall is called for.

Safety Recall Issued in November 2009 for 09 and 2010 HD motorcycles.
The identified issue involves 111,569 motorcycles for 2009 and 2010 model year motorcycles manufactured between June 6, 2008 and November 19, 2009. A letter was sent out to all registered owners. Two new brackets were mounted to the affected gasoline tanks which are to aid the tank from rupturing (hopefully) when involed in a crash. Takes about 10 minutes to complete. A good thing. No charge.

I'm not aware of any service bulletins other than the ones you have listed.

There is one for a seat modification. Got the info from Dawg. Seems like it was for the Street Glide only. Two blocks that keep the seat from pulling the rear mounting nut out of the fender.

I got my 09 when the 10's were about to be released so I don't have any problems except for the gas tank bracket recall which was free of charge and a quick and easy fix.

2009 Touring Steering Head Bearing Adjustment.
This is a revised procedure for adjusting steering head adjustment on 2009 Touring Bikes. Is this something the dealer does or is it just for information?

Will ask the service dept. since my bike is there now.

Those tires are looong gone.

Done deal!
I always wondered about the lean angle while on the stand. I'll make sure to ask them before I take my bike out.

Thanks!
