211's Installed
 

Took my bike in for it's 10,000 mile service, got new rubber front and back, and next thing I know 211 cams are going in. :D LOL. Now I know that 255's seem to be the over all favorite here in the touring section(if only doing cams on a 96"), but my dealer thought i'd be better fit for 211's. All I can say is WOW!!!:icon_toast: Good power and torque when just putting around town, but when I got on it? :icon_omg: Totally different machine.

I had the 255's installed and I really do like them myself. The 96" motor just needed a little kick in the pants..............

yep everytime you go to the dealer you end up getting more than you went for lol but thats what makes it fun:icon_toast:

I cannot agree more about the 211's. I have an 02 RG with a 95" & 203's with 50K on it. So this winter I had the new chain, tensioners and oil pump put in, while they were in there I decided to do new cams. They said I should give the 211's a shot for a bit more power. Holy cow! It just feels so much stronger and really just wants to go! Great cams.

211's in my 95" and I love 'em! I know a 95 incher isn't stroked and it isn't apples to apples, but who cares, right!

Off today so I really got to spend some time with the new cams. Have to say, I'm glad I did it. Power really comes on where I want it. Before I know it I'm running 70-80mph. Now to try not to get on the throttle too much.... :)

what was the final numbers with those cams?

I'm a total noob when it comes to cams. When exactly does the power come on? I sometimes rev to like 4-5K but mostly stay around 3K. I'm told the 255s are a better match for my type of riding.

Haven't gotten it dyno'd yet, when I do I'll post #'s
Come's on around 2700, and rides thru 4-5K. Plan on getting it dyno'd around this time next month.
