Default New to the Touring Crowd

Just traded in my 09 Crossbones for a 2010 FLHX.

Sun Glo Red. Got the painted inner fairing, boom audio speakers and new windshield. I had a little buyers remorse as I rode the Crossbones to the dealership for the last time but as soon as I left with the SG I knew I made the right choice.

I purchased the Crossbones on a whim last year. Work was going tough and I needed a distraction. I walked in and purchased the bike before learning to ride.

Looking forward to taking some trips on the bike!

Congrats on the new bike. I'm new to Touring bikes as well as HD. Bought my 2010 EGC in December. So far, I'm impressed with everything about the bike except the power. Probably add an a/c and PC V after the 5000 mile service. Just added Fuel Moto's Dyno Tuned slip on's.

Great shot of MY bike! Seriously, the painted inner fairing looks goooood. Mine is still the stock "black matte finish". Was this done before you bought the bike or did you have it done after? Photo looks like it was taken on the dealer's showroom floor.
Also would like your opinion on the slightly taller windshield. Mine is stock and I do have my face "in the wind" and experience buffeting, but I like it that way. Do you think the taller windshield really makes any difference? You will LOVE this bike!!

Great trade! I rode the crossbones at a demo ride before I got my RKC because I LOVED the way it looked. I didn't like the way it rode at all though. Love the touring frame. Did you get hammered on the trade in?
