[quote=boogaloodude;6673821]Nice! Did you find somebody better than the first guy who tuned your bike? That's better than a 5 percent increase from the 84/94 you'd posted right after your cam swap.

I do not think (IMO) there is anybody better within a days ride of my house. I took it back to Bobby (original) and he tweaked it for a few hours , no charge. Had a flat spot right at launch and he fixed that and sweetened the AFRs a bit. He told me my mileage would suffer a bit. On last weekend's combined 739 mile ride I averaged just over 43mpg, pretty good considering we were riding the mountains of Virginia with some stop and go and at least 60 miles at sustained speeds of 80-85, me thinks. I am happy and I am done, with the engine, for 2010 (have to qualify this statement!)

HQ 500 Hurricane cam is a real stump puller you can feel it as you go through the gears.

I think so to Todd, looked at alot of cams and have also tried alot of cams, I've had 203's, HQ 0034's, TW37's and out of all those the 203's were pretty good, go figure, looked at alot of dynos and have heard comments over the last several months and this is why I chose the 204's.

Yeah, I'd seen your first dyno sheets where you were comparing the 37's against your stock cams. I was watching your bike closely as I was considering the same cams for my bike. I had a little concern about the cams being a little soft on the bottom end with stock compression. Did you post your new dyno sheet after your tuner got done with it the second time? You'd gone from 75/88 with stock cams, to 85/94 with the initial tune on the 37's, to 90/100 after the second tune? That's a huge jump (75/88 to 90/100) on just cams. Very impressive.

thanks for posting your data. It's really helpful for others in similar situations.

I'd say give the SE-204's a shot man. I grabbed 91hp - 109tq - 43 MPG +

I think the torque and power characteristics of this cam (SE-204) are amazing.

I think that you would be better served to go with Fuel Moto. They have helped many on this site (including myself)and will continue to do so. Their customer service is excellent and they can advise you how to get to where you want to go depending on your preferences. They are also very reasonably priced all things considered.

As someone else also said you will need an air/fuel controller and a Power Commander V is plug and play unit. I have one on mine and love it. This will put you up to a stage 1, and I'm sure that you would be very happy with it as well.

Then if you decide to add on cams which is the next step you would just request the down load from F/M and they would send it to you. Simple plug and play.

Chain drive bolt-in Cam, no head work required. Works well at 9.1 to 10.1 compression. A very good combination with flat top pistons and stock heads. Horsepower and torque increase with smooth ride.
