Default Tow Behind Trailer wiring question

Where do the trailer pullers tap into the wiring harness to get power for the tail light, brake light, and turn signals. Do you tap in at the tailight and T/S bar or under the seat? I have a 08 Ultra. Thanks

You can buy an adaptor from J&P Cyles that plugs into the harness under the seat on your bike and connect the wiring harness from to that. No splicing into the main harness.
This nice if you want to move harness to another bike. Part number for this 300-077 (Trailer wiring plug) $39.99. This is a clean way to connect your harness.

I use this on my 08 ultra...
http://timeouttrailers.org/accessories.aspx

The Wiring Schematic that we use is:
Pin 1 - Yellow Wire - Left Turn Signal
Pin 2 - Green Wire - Right Turn Signal
Pin 3 - Brown Wire - Running Lights
Pin 4 - Red Wire - Brake Lights
Pin 5 - White Wire - Ground

We use a 5 wire round plug on all our trailers unless
otherwise specified. The bike end harness comes with
your new trailer purchase as well.

I used the Y adapter that plugs into the wiring connections under the seat to control the isolator that pulls its power off the battery. That way your wiring circuit doesn't take the extra load.

Is the isolator needed for a trailer with 2 tail/brake/turn sig lights and 4 marker lights? 6 bulbs total . Thanks

I bought the adaptor that is a plug and play, then just use the color code that comes with the hitch's harnes. No you don't need the isolator, I had it the first time and it burnt up. Ride safe
