I noticed in your picture that you wear a half-helmet. Standard H-D headsets are designed for 3/4 or full-face helmets. J&M headsets don't have this problem. The new "behind the head" H-D is designed for half-helmets.

Which Zumo do you have?

I put a right-angle plug and an extension on the H-D standard headset for both me and my wife - we both use half-helmets. The original headset designed for the 3/4 helmet and the full-face helmet put the cord that runs between the bike and the helmet in a direct line of view and required too much stretching. My modifications eliminated both problems.

Where did you get the parts.. do you have pics or part #s?
Any one know if you can splice into the cable to the headset to wire in a link to the cellphone? |
Looking at this unit myself: http://www.hdbomm.com/

Now I need to switch over to the HD CB setup!

No ZUMO. |
Anyone got anything on this?
Even an adapter that fits inline on the harley headset cable or jack that has additional ports to plug in the audio cable for the phone? Even wired connection tot he phone is fine. Just looking for something simple, effective, CHEAP to use my Harley headset with my cellphone while still retaining cb/int features. |
