Thanks again.
HD pn#24017-10 for the B-148's
HD pn#8983 roller bearing assy
HD pn#9198 needle bearings
HD pn#9215 needle bearing, cam

Personally, I would go with the SE 24017-10 B-148's over the other needle bearings.

How would that even be a factor? Are you thinking of the crankshaft bearing maybe?

I like to replace any bearing if I'm replacing the shaft that rides in it. Things wear together, and I prefer a fresh start to allow for this. FWIW, YMMV.

Yeah, sorry. My brain runs faster than my fingers. I was thinking of the crankshaft bearings not the cam bearings. I also agree with you on replacing bearings if you change the post is a good idea.

Do a search for Georges Garage. He sells the bearings for around $15 including shipping. .He also sells all the tools you would need.

HD and georges garage sell them for the same price $14.95. If you have a dealer close by, you won't need to pay shipping. If you want to order online and pay shipping, then order from a 20% dealer like Zanotti's and get them for $11.96
