Recommendation on essential tools...

Hi,

Getting a 2010 RG soon. Wondering what essential tools I should have on the bike, besides what it comes with?

Thannks,

+1 on what's already been said. I carry to much!

If and when you sort that out - post it! I've been having that debate with myself as I'm unimpressed with the H-D tool kit that comes with the Limited.

On the other hand, one can haul around a bunch of unnecessary weight in tools! I'm also unimpressed with the tool kits H-D tries to sell at an outrageous price at "stealerships".

I'm using the "spit and bailing wire" approach for now! Old School.

I probably fall into the too much catagory but I carry the following in addition to the factory tool kit.

Cruz tools H3 toolkit.
Cruz tools mini socket toolkit.
Slime compressor and tire repair kit.
extra wire ties.

Too much here.

- The factory kit

- The Snap-On kit

- A tire patch kit

- A Slime compressor

- Zip ties

- Electrical tape
